His Excellency Major General K M Mominur Rahman, afwc, psc, has joined the Mission on 30 June 2014.

Major General Momin was born on 06 Jan 1961, he was commissioned in Bangladesh Army as an Infantry Officer in 1980.

Before joining the current appointment, Major General Momin served as Executive Chairman, BEPZA, Quarter Master General, Bangladesh Army, General Officer Commanding of 9 Infantry Division at Savar Cantonment. He was also commander of 69 Infantry Brigade at Bandarban Hill District. He Commanded 18 East Bengal, East Bengal Regimental Center ( Trg Bn) and 6,14 and 41 Border Guard of Bangladesh (BGB). As staff officer he served as General Staff Officer-1 Armed Forces Division (AFD), General Staff Officer-1 and Acting Col GS CTIB Director General Forces Intelligence (DGFI), Dhaka Cantonment, Sector Commander of BGB at Rajshahi.

Major General Momin has attended several courses both at home and abroad. He is a graduate of Defence Service Command and Staff College Mirpur and Armed Forces War Course (afwc) at National Defence College Mirpur.

Major General Momin is widely travelled officer and visited India, Pakistan, Singapore, China, Hongkong, Thailand, Kuwait, Iraq, Saudi Arab, Canada, United Arab Amirat, Turkey & USA.

Major General Momin and his wife Mrs Salima Rahman are blessed with one son and two daughters.
